FC Kallon have unveiled their supporters jerseys ahead of the club’s crunch-time meeting with 2018/19 league champions, East End Lions, on Sunday, 22nd March 2020.
In a press conference organised at the Atlantic Hostels, Siaka Stevens Stadium on Saturday, 14th March 2020, FC Kallon’s head of media, Abdul Derick Fofanah, highlighted the importance of Saturday’s press conference; which he vividly stated to be connected with FC Kallon’s final encounter of the first phase of the Sierra Leone Premier League, and to also unveil the club’s different set of supporters Jerseys ahead of the dubbed “current biggest fixture in Sierra Leone Football”.
In his submission, team manager of FC Kallon, Abdul Bah, said Saturday’s unveiling ceremony signifies a huge milestone in the club’s illustrious history.
“Today’s event is a history making moment in our club history. FC Kallon is the pacesetting club in the country whose innovations others always tend to copy”, he said.
He added that the club has got a lot to offer to its fans including modern branding initiatives and vital sponsorship deals to put the club above others in Sierra Leone football.
He lauded the fans for their continued support to the club commending their invaluable contribution which he says, has taken the club to higher heights.
“We’re highly indebted to our great and loyal fans for without their support FC Kallon wouldn’t have been where it is today”, he maintained.
The Jerseys according to manager Bah are made in Italy by “Errea” one of Italy’s biggest sporting brand; with the club’s various colours of Blue, Green, White and Red.
He called on their fans to go for the true and authentic Jerseys and further alerted them to be vigilant against pirates who might pirate the club’s official Jerseys and make sub-standard replicas.
The Jerseys were officially unveiled by FC Kallon’s patron, Mr Foday Daboh on behalf of the club’s executive and was charged at a price of Le 350,000 per Jersey.
The unveiling ceremony was graced by FC Kallon’s acting chairman, Tunde Scott, general manager, Kebbie Sesay, team manager, Abdul Bah, club patron Foday Daboh, fan club chairman, Lincoln Smith, fan club Secretary, Mohamed Mansaray, club supporters and the media.
Updating pressmen on his side’s preparations ahead of the E.E Lions showpiece, FC Kallon acting chairman, Tunde Scott, disclosed the team’s readiness to entertain East End Lions in their crunch-time meeting on Sunday, 22nd March.
He said the team has prepared a lot and is still preparing towards getting all three points against the only team that defeated them last season.
“We’ve have done our homework this time expecting nothing but all three points on Sunday”, he said.
He maintained that, FC Kallon would be putting on their red outfit as hosts for the first time this season, whiles he expects East End Lions who are known for the famous red to put on their white away Jersey when the two face each other in the coming days.
East End Lions defeated FC Kallon 2-0 and 1-0 on both legs last season, victories that eventually helped the Killers earned their twelfth league title in the club’s history.
