Under-18 and 20 Athletes Start Training

The Sierra Leone Athletics Association (SLAA) Under-18 and Under-20 athletes have started training ahead of the 3rd African Under-18 Championships (U18) and the 14th African Under-20 Championships (U20) in Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Republic of Côte d’Ivoire) in April. Coach Harold Palmer, Coach Musa A. Sandy, Coach Alim Kamara and Coach Momoh Morrie are the coaches designated for training.

Coach Harold said there are three departments: the sprint, quarter milers, and short middle distance and distance runners.

Coach Abu Bakarr Kumalo is in charge of the short middle distance and distance runners, while the Coaches for Sprint departments are: Alim Kamara, Halold Palmer, and Momoh Morrie.

According to the Coach of the quarter milers, Musa A. Sandy, the training days will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with training starting from 6:45 a.m daily.

According to Coach Abu Bakarr Kumalo, all the athletes are in high spirits and ready to execute the training workouts.
