England based Sierra Leonean boxer, John Harding has led a number of local boxers in a professional boxing workout held at the National Stadium Volleyball Court on Friday 4th January 2019. The effort was made possible through the Executive of the Sierra Leone Boxing Association (SLBA), an outfit that has taken empowerment as one of its development goals.
John Harding told NewsWatch Sports that he has taken part in seven professional fights, winning six and drawing one and that his first effort to giving back is to make his presence felt amid the diverse expectations of aspiring boxers in his home country Sierra Leone.
I have used my training time to let them see the difference. The second step is to let boxers here spread the word so that more people will come. With that, we can make Sierra Leone a strong force
