Kabaka Media entertainment (KME), popular music producers and promoters, are poised to unveil the maiden edition of what has been dubbed the biggest musical festival in the history of Sierra Leone. The festival will bring together musicians from Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Ghana to showcase the best in West African music.
Throughout the week, big names and lesser known names in the West African music scene, including the Nigerian reggae maestro Pato Ranking, have been arriving at the Lungi International Airport for the Saturday 17th November event.
In what is expected to be Sierra Leone’s biggest stage event ever, almost all local musicians have not only endorsed the ECOFEST 2018, but will perform in what will be a never to be forgotten fun night.
Sources closed to the KME intimates Newswatch Newspaper that security around the venue has been beefed up by the Sierra Leone Police and additional security measures put in place in anticipation of huge crowds.
ECOFEST has attracted endorsements from Sierra Leonean celebrities, including the legendary footballer Mohamed Kallon, lawyers and politicians, making the occasion truly national in character.
It is undoubtedly going to be a clash of the titans that all Sierra Leoneans will live to talk about for a long long time.
