“I WILL NAME AND SHAME THOSE WHO FLOUT PROCUREMENT RULES”
In a bid to reduce mismanagement of public funds on procurement related activities and wastages by MDAs ,the Chief Executive Officer of National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) Mr. Ibrahim Brima Swarray, has said that he will not hesitate to name and shame those involved in such a criminal acts. He said that it is against this backdrop the authority has launched the Maiden Bulletin Edition which will be published quarterly for public consumption. He further noted that through the publication of the bulletin the public will be rating the performance of MDAs including the conduct of suppliers as well as how competitive and transparent the bidding process is carried out in procurement.
Mr. Swarray also informed his audience that as a practicing procurement officer for quite some time, he can easily identify between good and bad procurement. He recalled that President Julius Maada Bio in his election campaign messages promised the people of this country that he will wage war on corruption and mismanagement of public funds including those related to procurement and leakages.
